DRINKING, ALEX AND ME (A drinking diary posted from Ipswich)
In the wee wee hours, in the midst of nowhere, I recall a moment which stopped my heart. Drinking had become my reality. But everything changed today at The Seal in Woodbridge. Alex took me aside and asked, out of nowhere: "Follow me." He took me to St John's Parish Church. As he kneeled, and I sat, he said: "How much longer?". I could not answer him. Home soon.
