Mo Mowlam in Summerhill Terrace

  1. Wouldn't it be weird if there were plaques on all houses telling who used to live there? What a nightmare!

  2. I used to live in this house from Oct 1980 until about April 1981. Mo Mowlem was the landlady. I had the loft room that became uninhabitable after a fire. Mo kicked me out for using the telephone that had a lock on it. I tapped out numbers using the receiver hooks. Prof Laurie Taylor used to visit on weekends.

  3. Well Dave surely you remember the long and deep political discussions that we used to have ? but no the highlight for you was getting kick out for fiddling the phone. Mind you I remember the morning of the fire we had been up the Westgate road for Saturday chips as usual and then the pub. We came back to Summerhill after closing time at 2 pm to find fire brigade dowsing the chimney and Mo in the arms of Laurie Taylor, him waving the Amercian Express card saying " we can get new stuff don't worry Mo." What were you burning in the grate in your room the night before?? At the least the political education I gave to Mo on Norn Iron didn't go to waste...
