THE FINAL SONG
DA PLAYS BY CANDLELIGHT LAST NIGHT
Last night - in the dead of night - Da played an astonishing final gig at The Egypt Cottage. With three musical expeditionaries he forced opened a door at the now derelict boozer and, by candlelight, played three songs of plaintive beauty.
Set List:
I Don't Stand (A Ghost of a Chance)
Desolation Row
Jake the Peg

Now you would not think to look at him, but he was famous long ago . . .
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see he's still taking risks. Not for him the lucrative stadium tours. A real man of the people - although I used to think I'd misheard that and it was 'peephole'.
