Probably the quietest night of 2016. Whether people are shopped-out or saving themselves for the excesses to come is unclear, but The Habit was unusually quiet, with only a scattering of punters and players. The 2-song rule was applied as normal but we went around twice for the solo sets listed above. Surprise song of the night - a visitor from Worcestershire (possibly in his mid-60s) struck up with The Nolans' I'm In The Mood For Dancing! with backing, sometimes lead, vocals from 3 ladies in the audience. There was also a fine performance from regular Deb of David Lindley/Jackson Browne's Crow On The Cradle. Things livened up a little after 11pm with folks moving on from other bars which had closed. The Elderly Brothers played the final set of the night to close the open mic at midnight.
