Flagons of ale all round barman.
Be there early.
THE Friday Boys are a disparate group of men spread across Tyneside who meet once a week - 'always on a Friday' - to talk about the arts, raise a glass to recently departed heroes and villains and, at the evening's end, down a whisky or two. The FBs have only one golden rule - talk of the working week is strictly off-limit.
Paul,
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting and following my blog. I like your blog pictures. Quite neat!!
Doris
Not a chance, alas.
ReplyDeleteGrahame has made a dignified exit from the exacting FB regime. Rather like an England international the physical side of travelling had become a little too much for him. Mentally it was fine. But he has generously pledged to remain a loyal cyber friend. We all thank him for his unstinting years of service and wish him well as he enters the next stage of his development.
ReplyDeleteAs for Friday, a six-seater taxi from The Steamboat into Toon is available, with a sliding payment scale... Da and Paul (£7)... PJ (£4) ... TK and BD (£3). That should cover it.
There's too much shit happening at work. It's my turn for a meltdown moment and it can't be far off. If I get back early enough to get out early enough to make it worth while, I'll get a taxi and join you. It's on the way down to the Customs House, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteDon't let the bastards get you down. You are sure to receive a warm welcome, even from Terry. Indeed it is close to the Customs House, on the Mill Dam(n)! It's a Beach Boys friendly jukebox.
ReplyDeleteMeltdown Moment
ReplyDeleteI'm picking up Bad Vibrations,
For I had the Cold of the Sun,
And Pain, Pain, Pain
Instead of Fun, Fun, Fun.
Please don't try to write.
