Tom Adams, who died On 17 December, was a prolific illustrator and noted for his covers of books by Agatha Christie, Raymond Chandler and John Fowles. He worked on a wide variety of other projects, including murals, adverts, Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, various features in the British comics, Eagle, Swift and Girl and the cover of Lou Reed's first post-Velvets album.
