The Sound Of Silence
I'm Into Something Good
If Not For You
Things We Said Today
You Got It
A rather odd night all told for Bonfire Night, not least because the latreens were out of order due to a surfeit of chewing gum in the pipework! So anyone 'in need' had to go across the road to the Snickleway Inn to use their facilities.
Also it was the end of an era for all who have attended the open mic nights over the past 7 or 8 years, as this was the last night for host extraordinaire Mark Wynn, who has decided to take a rest from his duties. Yours truely dedicated Things We Said Today (one of his favourites) to Mark and asked for a round of applause to express thanks for a job very well done. His place will be taken by York minstrel David Ward Maclean.
P.S. 2 upcoming Elderly Brothers' gigs for your diary: Sat 8th Nov at the Black Horse (formerly Tap & Spile), Monkgate and Tues 18th Nov at The Last Drop Inn, Colliergate.
