The first lady of France is hitting the studio with U2 producer Daniel Lanois
The first lady of France, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, is coming to Los Angeles. It’s not a diplomatic endeavor, but a musical one: she will spend time in Southern California this year to record a new album, according to a report in one of France's largest daily newspapers, Le Figaro.
Bruni is heading to America this year to record her fourth proper album. The singer’s last release, Comme Si De Rien N'était, was released in 2008.
She is expected to record new material soon in California with Silver Lake-based producer Daniel Lanois, known for his work in the past with artists such as U2.
Bruni makes her acting debut in Woody Allen’s romantic comedy Midnight in Paris, which will open this year’s Cannes
