Nobby Solano retires from international football

Nobby scores against Liverpool. Those were the days...

"Nobby Solano meanwhile took to the field for the last time as a Peru player, as they beat Bolivia 1-0 in Lima. The veteran skipper received a massive ovation from the home crowd when substituted in the 69th minute.

In over 15 years representing his country, Nobby earned 95 caps in all competitions and scored 20 goals."

Sadly we haven't had anyone who can pass the ball with any degree of accuracy or consistency, from either defence or midfield, since he left St James' Park...
