NOT SO SMALL TIME CROOKS part two

The Telegraph reports that former Conservative leader, Michael Howard, claimed more than £17,000 for "gardening services" at his second home in Kent over four years.

Mr Howard said the report was not true and the claim was for a variety of maintenance costs, including work done to his home. He insisted the claim was within the rules.

  1. Now let's make things clear. As our elected representatives MPs deserve our respect. They work long hours for a paltry salary but are still subject to this rancid public abuse. And for what? Merely trying to make a better life for themselves and their families. We, the public, should be ashamed - of ourselves!
