THE Friday Boys are a disparate group of men spread across Tyneside who meet once a week - 'always on a Friday' - to talk about the arts, raise a glass to recently departed heroes and villains and, at the evening's end, down a whisky or two. The FBs have only one golden rule - talk of the working week is strictly off-limit.
Amazing pics!
ReplyDeleteTK.
It's still available in colour to this day!
ReplyDeleteIf all of these photographs are supposed to be from 1900 then it ain't so.
ReplyDeleteHe girl in the toy aeroplane for instance.
The RAF red white and blue roundel didn't exist then....and neither were there single winged planes at that time....or indeed any aeroplanes at all.
It was obviously taken during or after the first war....notice the German plane she's shot down....brave girl.
PS. The cars are circa 1918 so I'd make a fair bet that they're all from around that year
