A weird night - entered to the smell of fish & chips - the 'music' bar was filled with bikers demolishing the contents of the nearby chippy. So it was a somewhat ambivalent audience for an open mic night! By the time they left it was fairly late, but a sigh of relief was heard from everyone including the publican.
Some excellent stuff: - Make Me A Pallet On The Floor (Mississippi John Hurt via Gillian Welch) and Folsom Prison Blues by a picker from the Uni and an amazing set from the York Glee Singers (whatever that means) doing a capella versions of From Me To You, Sandman and Smells Like Teen Spirit!!
