Henderson and Kelly: Vampire Hunters

A candid photo taken on set during the great double act's career low, Vampire Hunters (Michael Carreras, 1961), an attempt to boost their fading fortunes by allying themselves with the then popular Hammer monster movie cycle. Both Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing left the country rather than appear in it and the role of Dracula was given to Derek Guyler, whose passport had recently been rescinded.

Hard to believe that a mere two years later, they were back at the top of their game alongside Albert Finney, Julie Christie and Bernard Breslaw in John Schlesinger's bawdy 18th century romp, Waiting For Bardot.
